Ms. Kelly O’Brien graduated from Lewis & Clark School of Law in Portland, Oregon, in 2004. During law school, she had the opportunity to work for the Land Use Board of Appeals and the cities of Portland and Vancouver, as well as various tribal agencies and non-profit organizations.
For several years after law school Ms. O’Brien worked in the nonprofit arena, where she directed planned giving, major gifts and foundation programs, as well as provided financial planning oversight. In addition to providing direction for the non-profit organization, she worked closely with individual donors on charitable giving techniques and how to leave a legacy for future generations. Her experience provides her with a strong background in estate planning from a charitable perspective.
Ms. O’Brien also has a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis on international business from the University of Montana. Prior to attending law school, she worked as a consultant for the Montana Export Assistance Center, a support center for small businesses seeking to export their products overseas.
Ms. O’Brien began working with Svitek Law Group in January of 2008. She continues to work with non-profit organizations, businesses, individuals and families, providing insight and techniques to plan effectively for the future. Ms. O’Brien strives to provide personal advice to individuals and growing families seeking to create custom estate plans and help businesses and nonprofit organizations thrive.
